Join us at the 2012 Universal Design Summit to learn more about
Universal Design.The intent of universal design is to simplify life for
everyone by making products, communications and the built environment
more usable by as many people as possible at little or no extra cost.
Universal Design benefits people of all ages and abilities. Features of
Universal Design include:
• Smooth, ground-level entrance without stairs
• Wide interior doors with wide hallways
• Bright and appropriate lighting
• Light switches with large flat panels

Starkloff Disability Institute, “Universal Design: 21st Century Policy”
