 *Homelessness Focus Group*



On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, the City of Columbia Community Development
Department is holding a Homelessness Focus Group event at City Hall, Room
1A, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to obtain input from
key stakeholders on homelessness needs to be addressed with Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funding for 2015-2019 and
strategies to most effectively meet those needs.  Information collected
during the event will be used to inform the Consolidated Plan.



The Consolidated Plan is a document required by the Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD), designed to help guide communities on
directing the federal dollars they receive. The consolidated planning
process allows the public to identify the most important community needs in
Columbia.
