[Youth Basketball]

Hello Young Basket-Ballers!

It is almost October, that means basketball season is just around the
corner.  It is time to start working on your skills so you can have a
successful season.  Columbia's Parks & Recreation would like to invite you
to two affordable ongoing programs that will help get you ready:

***Youth Basketball Skills Mini-Camps***
Every 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sunday of each month our coaches will work with 8-12
year old boys and girls on individual and team skills.  Passing, Dribbling,
Shooting, Screens, Defense, Rebounding and more.

The cost is only $5 each camp.  Meet at the Armory Sports & Community
Center (701 E. Ash), and the program runs year round.  Please call 874-7460
to pre-register.  You may pay as far in advance as you'd like.

Every 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sunday year-round
2:30-4:00 pm

$5.00 per camp


***FREE After-School Basketball Skills "New City Hoops"***
Every Tuesday, make your way down to the Armory Sports & Community Center
after school so you can sharpen your basketball skills.  This is for all
school aged boys and girls from Elementary to High School.  Fundamentals as
well as tips to take your game to the next level will be taught.  At the
end, the staff will chat with participants about leadership skills,
respect, character, and other topics that will help you to be a good
teammate.

So, if you are serious about basketball, or just want to have fun with
others while learning something new, this is for you.
