[cyfl-l]: Free Columbia Local Hershey Track Meet

[Youth Football]

Boys and Girls ages 9 - 14 (only children born in years 1999, 2000, 2001,
2002, 2003 & 2005 can participate in qualifying events)


Sunday, April 28 ~ 2 pm.  Check in time, Event starts at 3 pm - Hickman
High School Track.


50, 100, 200, 400 meter dashes, 800 & 1600 meter runs, standing long jump &
softball throw are the available events.


This is a free program.


Participants can compete in 2 track and 1 field event, or 2 field and 1
track event.  If the athlete has 3 others in his/her year group, they may
compete in the 4 x 100m relay as an additional event.


*NEW* this year, is the 400m Fun Run for boys and girls ages 6-8.  These
participants are not allowed to advance to the State Meet.


Winners will move on to the state meet (Fri, June 28 in Jefferson City).
Best performances at the state meet have the opportunity compete in
Hershey, Pennsylvania at the North American Finals Meet.


Registration forms can be found at Columbia's Parks & Recreation offices (1
S. 7th), the ARC (1701 W. Ash), and the Armory Sports Center (701 E. Ash).
Turn in forms to 1 S. 7th.  Please accompany your registration form with a
copy of your child's birth certificate, passport, or baptismal record.
 TRACK SPIKES, SHOES THAT ACCEPT SPIKES, GRASS CLEATS/TURF STYLE SHOES AND
STARTING BLOCKS CANNOT BE USED.
