City publishes New Year's holiday schedule

COLUMBIA, MO (December 27, 2004) -- City offices will be closed on New
Year's Eve, Friday, Dec. 31. Offices will reopen on Monday, Jan 3.

Collection of residential refuse, recycling and yard waste will be made
on the regular schedule on Friday, Dec. 31.

The sanitary landfill will be open on Dec. 31, but closed on New Year's
Day.

City buses will operate from 6:25 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve,
Friday, 
Dec. 31, but will not operate on New Year's Day, Jan. 1.

Parking meters will be enforced on Dec. 31, but not on New Year's Day.

Though administrative offices for both the Police and Fire Departments
will be closed on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, all other emergency
services will be available.
