Start Construction of the Sanitary Sewer District #157 Project

COLUMBIA, MO (June 18, 2004) -- The Public Works Department announced
the beginning of the construction of the Sanitary Sewer District No. 157
Project. The project location is between Rollins Street and Burnam
Avenue immediately east of Providence Road. Work is scheduled to begin
on Monday, June 21, 2004, weather permitting. 

C. L. Richardson Construction Co., Inc., of Ashland, MO was the
successful bidder on the project in the amount of $46,565.50. This
project will consist of 435 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe,
70 linear feet of 4-inch sanitary sewer lateral pipe, two manholes and
the abandonment of an existing private common collector system.
There are no traffic restrictions anticipated in conjunction with this
project, however, care should be exercised in the construction area. It
is anticipated that construction will be completed by August.
