Lane Widening and Median Work on Nifong Boulevard

COLUMBIA, MO (Date) -- The City of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 7 a.m., Emery
Sapp and Sons, Inc., the contractor working for Woodcrest Chapel, will
begin construction of a right-in, right-out turn lane on the north side
of Nifong Boulevard from Sinclair Street, 600 feet to the west.
Additional work will include lane widening on the south side and
construction of a median in the same general location. Two-way traffic
will be maintained throughout construction. The work should be completed
and the street should be fully reopened, weather permitting, Friday,
July 23, 2004 at 7 p.m.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in
the construction area and to use an alternate route whenever possible.
