Temporary closure of West Boulevard

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 7 a.m., Tallmage
Plumbing, the contractor working for O.V. Wheeler, will begin a sewer
service line repair project in West Boulevard, just south of Ash Street.
This work will result in the temporary closure of West Boulevard between
Ash Street and Marygene Street. 
	
A detour route will be marked as follows:

For southbound West Boulevard traffic continuing south - turn west on
Ash Street to Clinton Drive. Turn south on Clinton to Marygene Street.
Turn east on Marygene to West Boulevard.

For northbound West Boulevard traffic continuing north - turn west on
Marygene Street to Clinton Drive.  Turn north on Clinton to Ash Street.
Turn east on Ash to West Boulevard.

The work should be completed, weather permitting, and the street should
be reopened Thursday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. Motorists and pedestrians are
urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use
an alternate route whenever possible.
