City offices closed on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

COLUMBIA, MO (January 14, 2005) -- City offices will be closed on
Monday, Jan. 17, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Offices will reopen on Tuesday.
The City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. at
City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.

Residential refuse and curbside recycling collection will not be made
on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and will be delayed one day throughout
the week. The sanitary landfill will also be closed Monday. Questions
concerning holiday refuse collection may be directed to the Solid Waste
Division at 874-6291.

City buses will not operate and parking meter regulations will not be
enforced on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Though administrative offices for both the Police and Fire Departments
will be closed on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all other emergency
services will be available.
