Ancient Peoples/Modern Divisions' Community Circle set for Dec. 1 
COLUMBIA, MO (November 28, 2005) -- Plan to attend this month's
Community Circle. "Ancient Peoples/Modern Divisions" Thursday, Dec.
1, from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Columbia Public Library Friends Room.
The event is in coordination with RagTag's Missouri Theatre Film
Series Nov. 30 presentation of "Wall", which documents personal
stories of the 400-mile separation barrier between Israel and the
largely Palestinian West Bank. 

The Community Circle will provide a safe setting for local citizens of
all backgrounds to engage with one another in honest sharing and
intentional listening. Trained volunteer facilitators will guide the
dialogue as participants reflect on the film, on modern divisions that
still exist between ancient cultures, and how parallels of these
divisions exist in our community today.

"LET'S TALK, COLUMBIA!" monthly Community Circles, sponsored by
the Columbia Human Rights Commission to promote citizen dialogue, are
free, ongoing events for adults and mature youth. Previous or regular
attendance is not required. Light refreshments are provided. This is a
unique opportunity to listen, learn and connect with other community
members.
