FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Columbia Police Department Business Academy

COLUMBIA, MO (September 6, 2005) -- This Thursday, Sept. 8, is the
final session of this year's Columbia Police Department's Business
Academy. The final class will be held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Boone
Electric's Community Room and is sponsored by First National Bank.

Class topics for the evening include drug recognition and meth labs.
While we've come to learn that meth labs can occur in any
neighborhood, we must also recognize that means they could occur in our
business neighborhoods, as well. We encourage our local business
community to be as educated as possible about these topics.

Attendance is free of charge and interested parties can still register
by calling Officer Jessie Haden Pitman at 874-7448. Please leave you
name, the name of your business or employer, and the names of any other
employees of the business who will attend.
