Free festival performances number more than 40
(COLUMBIA, MO) - More than 40 live performances will be featured
at the fourteenth annual Columbia Festival of the Arts in downtown
Columbia, Sept. 24-25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
Performances of jazz, folk, bluegrass, classical, Latin Gypsy
music, contemporary dance, classical ballet, children's theater and
storytelling will fill three different stages throughout the Festival
weekend.
Musicians and dance groups performing on Courthouse Square Stage
include:

Additional special performances planned in the Visual Arts Area
include classical music by Prairie Strings and the Hickman High School
String Quartet on Saturday. Sunday features Bamboo Steve, bamboo flute
music, and Jeff Arrigo, guitar, in the afternoon. The Festival is
free and open to the public. It will be held at the Boone County
Courthouse Square and surrounding streets in downtown Columbia on Sept.
24- 25. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
