Fire Destroys Mobile Home In Northwest Columbia 
COLUMBIA, MO (December 11, 2006) -- Columbia fire fighters responded to a report of a Residential Structure Fire at 2808 Blackfoot, Lot 38 at 12:19 on December 10, 2006. Initial reports indicated a mobile home fully involved in flames. The fire was reported by occupants of Lot 27, who stated that they heard the metal cracking and popping from the fire.

Arriving fire crews found a trailer on Lot 38 that was completely on fire. Columbia Fire apparatus consisting of 3 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Squad, a Foam Truck, 3 Chief Officers and an Investigator responded to the scene.

Fire fighters had to attack the fire from the exterior of the structure because of the amount of fire involvement to the mobile home. Eventually the fire was extinguished, but the home and all of the contents were completely destroyed.

For now the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation. Fire Investigators estimate the initial dollar loss to the contents and the structure at $6,000.

It is unsure who the occupant of the trailer was at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported during the incident.
