City publishes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday schedule

COLUMBIA, MO (January 12, 2006) -- City offices will be closed on
Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

The regular City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17,
beginning at 7 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, located on the 4th
floor of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.

Collection of residential refuse and recycling will be delayed one day
throughout the week.

The sanitary landfill will be closed on Jan. 16. City buses will not
operate on Jan. 16. Parking meters will not be enforced on Jan. 16.
Though administrative offices for both the Police and Fire Departments
will be closed on Jan. 16, all other emergency services will be
available.
