U.S. Cellular corrects 9-1-1 phone call routing issue

COLUMBIA, MO (July 11, 2006) -- Around 4 p.m. on July 11,
representatives from U.S. Cellular were in contact with the director of
the Columbia/Boone County PSJC and stated that the problem with local
9-1-1 calls being routed to administrative phone lines and to the Monroe
County 9-1-1 Center has been corrected.

Representatives from US Cellular stated the problem was identified as a
defective router at a U.S. Cellular tower sight in downtown Columbia.
Callers who dialed 9-1-1 and connected to this tower were incorrectly
routed to administrative lines or to the Monroe County 9-1-1 Center.

U.S. Cellular customers who dialed 9-1-1 and connected to other U.S.
Cellular towers in Columbia and Boone County did not experience routing
issues.
