Additional slots available for fall softball leagues

COLUMBIA, MO (July 24, 2006) -- Additional openings have been created
for men’s softball teams wanting to register for the fall softball
season sponsored by Columbia Parks and Recreation. 

Due to demand, seven slots have been added for the men’s Thursday
“D” league and a new Tuesday night men’s “D” league has
been created. Other leagues with openings include the men’s senior
league on Tuesdays, co-ed “C” league on Mondays, co-ed “C”
league on Wednesdays and women’s “C” league on Mondays. 

Leagues designated C are competitive in nature and leagues designated D
are recreational.

The registration period ends Aug. 4, with leagues scheduled to start
the week of Aug. 20. Cost to register is $175.20 per team for a six-game
season and $362.40 per team for the double-header league (12 games).
