Permanent closure of Orleans Drive (old West Ash Street) between Park
De Ville Drive and Orleans Court
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Thursday, June 8, at 7 a.m., Columbia
Curb and Gutter, the contractor working for Fairview Marketplace, will
begin removal of the intersection of Orleans Drive and Park De Ville
Drive as part of the improvements to the Fairview Marketplace Shopping
Center. This work will result in the permanent closure of Orleans Drive
between Park De Ville Drive and Orleans Court. 
	Access to Orleans Drive will be made from Basin Drive and
Fairview Road for the time being. Future work will change the access to
Orleans Drive and Orleans Court from West Ash Street (new) and Basin
Drive once the intersection of Orleans Drive and Fairview Road is
removed. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution
when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever
possible.
