Woodside & Nazarene Drainage Improvements Project
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announced the
beginning of construction of a drainage improvement project across and
along Woodside Drive. Construction for this project is scheduled to
begin Wednesday, June 21, weather permitting.
	During the construction, Woodside Drive will be closed to thru
traffic. The closure will facilitate the replacement and upgrade of the
existing drainage system underneath Woodside Drive, which currently does
not meet capacity standards for the drainage area. The work consists of
the installation of approximately 675 feet of storm sewer pipe, ranging
in size from 12 inches to 36 inches in diameter, nine inlets, one
sanitary sewer manhole replacement and other incidental work. 
	WEECO Inc. of Boonville, Mo., was the successful bidder on the
project in the amount of $85,519.
	It is anticipated that construction will be completed by late
August. Care should be exercised in the construction area and alternate
routes should be used.
