City manager to present State of City address

COLUMBIA, MO (June 20, 2006) -- The annual State of the City address,
which includes the city's programs and priorities, will be presented
by City Manager Bill Watkins on Wednesday, June 21, at 9:30 a.m. in the
City Council Chamber, located on the 4th floor of City Hall, 701 E.
Broadway.

The City Charter requires that the city manager submit an annual report
of the city's programs and priorities for the next fiscal year.

The address will be aired live on the Columbia Channel, the city's
government access cable channel. The Columbia Channel is broadcast by
Mediacom on channel 13 and by Charter Communications on channel 2. It
will be rebroadcast as follows: June 21 at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., June 22 -
26 at 7 a.m., 11 a.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

A copy of the address will be available at the Daniel Boone Regional
Library and on the city's Web Site at www.GoColumbiaMo.com on the city
manager's page after the press conference.
