Moonlight Hoops Program preparing for opening tip

COLUMBIA, MO (March 7, 2006) -- The registration deadline is
approaching for the Moonlight Hoops Summer Basketball League. The league
is held at Douglass Park for both youth and adults. The season will
consist of an eight-game schedule, starting June 6 and running through
Aug. 10. 

The youth leagues are for ages 14-17 and the adult league is 18 years
old and up. Each youth division will be composed of 8 teams. The adult
division will be composed of 16 teams. The registration cost for the
youth leagues is $100 per team and for adults is $150 per team. Deadline
to register is April 28. 

Games are played outdoors in the evenings between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. A
minimum of five players is needed for a team, with a maximum per team of
10 players. 

Team members listed on the registration form will receive a free
T-shirt as part of the registration fee. Those who register and pay
first will have the first choice of team color. Registration forms are
available at the Parks and Recreation office at One South Seventh, the
Armory Sports Center at 701 East Ash and the ARC at 1701 West Ash or
