Public invited to discuss Providence Road Extension
COLUMBIA, MO (November 27, 2006) --
WHAT: Informal public meeting regarding the extension of Providence Road north from its current terminus to intersect with Blue Ridge Road
* Purpose is to discuss scope of the project, possible design alternatives and project scheduling
* Information, maps and project diagrams will be available for review; city staff will be present to answer questions and receive comments
WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 - 6:15 p.m.
WHERE: Cafeteria, Parkade Elementary School, 111 Parkade Boulevard
BACKGROUND: The project is one of 15 approved by Columbia voters in November 2005 as part of a sales tax extension. Estimated cost is $2,860,000. Input obtained from this meeting will be considered during preparation of preliminary plans that will be presented to the City Council at a public hearing.
