Fire Prevention Week Kickoff
Housing of Quint 3 - Columbia's Newest Fire Truck

COLUMBIA, MO (October 5, 2006) -- The Columbia Fire Department invites you to attend the opening ceremonies to kick off the 2006 Fire Prevention Week. 

Friday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m.

Columbia Fire Station 3 at 1021 Ashland Road, two blocks east of College Avenue on Ashland Road

Speakers:
o Fire Chief William Markgraf
o City Manager William Watkins
o Chamber of Commerce ambassadors 

Ceremonies:
o Proclamation of Fire Prevention Week
o The Housing of Quint 3 - Columbia's newest fire truck (Part of the 2005 Capitol Improvement Sales Tax Extension)
o Display of Bus 76 - "The Spirit of Columbia" (Part of the 2005 Capitol Improvement Sales Tax Extension)

Light refreshments will be served.
