Flat Branch Outdoor Cinema Series includes great entertainment

COLUMBIA, MO (April 23, 2007) - Watch a movie under the stars! The Flat
Branch Outdoor Cinema Series is featuring outdoor movies on a giant
inflatable screen through August. Pre-show entertainment will vary with
each movie. The cost is $3 per person; children 6 & under are free.
There are no rain dates.

Friday, May 4, 8:30 p.m. - Happy Feet (PG): Into the world of the
Emperor Penguins, who find their soul mates through song, a penguin is
born who cannot sing; but he can tap dance something fierce!

Thursday, June 7, 8:45 p.m. (after Twilight Festival) - American
Graffiti (PG): A couple of high school grads spend one final night
cruising the strip with their buddies before they go off to college.
Most people remember the film as the one with early acting appearances
for unknown but up-and-coming actors, such as Richard Dreyfuss, Cindy
Williams, Ron Howard, Harrison Ford, and Suzanne Somers. Pre show
entertainment features Twilight Car Night with the Mid Missouri Corvette
Club and music by The Bubbas.

Friday, July 6, 9 p.m. - Charlotte’s Web (G): Wilbur the pig is
scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time,
he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a
spider, to ensure that this will never happen.

Friday, Aug. 3, 8:30 p.m. - Casablanca (PG): This classic film that is
always found on top-10 lists of films, is a masterful tale of two men
vying for the same woman's love in a love triangle. Different Location:
Stephens Lake Park, Broadway Entrance

The Cinema Series is sponsored by U.S. Cellular and Flat Branch Pub and
Brewing, and presented by Columbia Parks and Recreation, the Columbia
Daily Tribune, Convention & Visitors Bureau and Ragtag Cinema.

Flat Branch Park is located at the corner of Fourth and Cherry streets.
