Columbia/Boone County Health Department gives to community
organizations

COLUMBIA, MO (December 21, 2007) - The Columbia/Boone County Health
Department staff has gathered donations for several community
organizations. During the annual holiday party, staff from the health
department voted between a variety of organizations within the community
and will make a $200 financial contribution to Happy Tails Animal
Sanctuary, Second Chance Animal Rescue and the C.A.S.H. (Citizens
Assisting Seniors and Handicapped) Program. All the donations were from
staff members and not city funds.

In addition to the financial contributions, staff also brought several
pounds of itemized donations for the Central Missouri Humane Society,
Second Chance Animal Rescue, Happy Tails Animal Sanctuary and the
Central Missouri Food Bank.

The C.A.S.H. Program, as well as all community non-for profit
organizations, struggle this time of year. The Health Department
encourages community entities, that are able, to donate to an
organization of their choice.

For more information on the C.A.S.H. Program, as well as other city
organizations, please visit www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
