City arts funding applications available	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Applications for the city’s arts funding process will be available starting Thursday, Jan. 25.
	Staff of the Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) and members of the Commission on Cultural Affairs will be available to meet with potential applicants to discuss the form and process from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the conference room of the Gentry Building, 1 S. 7th Street.
	Representatives of local arts organizations are encouraged to stop by at any time that afternoon to get an application and learn about the process.
	After the session, the application forms will be available at the OCA, 1 S. 7th Street. The application will be available on the city’s Web site after March 1, www.GoColumbiaMo.com (GoWord search: GoArtsFunding).
	To qualify for city arts funding, lead applicants must be arts organizations with 501c3 status. Collaborations with other entities are encouraged. In fiscal year 2007, the city is providing more than $80,000 to 18 local arts organizations. Funded projects focus on presentation of visual, performing and literary arts and related educational offerings.
