UPDATE - Quantity of product released into Flat Branch Creek

COLUMBIA, MO (July 10, 2007) - An overheated transformer at the
University of Missouri power plant at the corner of Stewart and
Providence Road, containing 155 gallons of mineral oil, boiled out the
bulk of the mineral oil on Sunday, July 8, 2007.

University officials working on clean-up operations have now revised
the amount of product that actually entered into Flat Branch creek at
less then five gallons of mineral oil.

Much of the product was recovered in a sump, on power plant property,
leading to the storm sewer lines.

The University of Missouri continues to mitigate the situation with the
assistance of Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
