Punt, Pass and Kick!
COLUMBIA, MO (July 23, 2007) - Take part in the official skills
competition of the National Football League! Columbia Parks and
Recreation is sponsoring the local Punt, Pass and Kick competition for
boys and girls ages 8 to 15.
Punt, Pass and Kick will start at 10 a.m. on Aug. 11 at the Cosmo Park
lacrosse fields (1401 Business Loop 70 West), although registration will
begin at 9:30 a.m. Youth will compete in age categories: 8-9, 10-11,
12-13 and 14-15.
Local winners will move on to a sectional competition. Sectional
winners may advance to compete at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis the
day of a Rams football game.
Preregistration is preferred by Aug. 9, although walk-up registration
is allowed the day of the event. Forms may be picked up at the Parks and
Recreation office (#1 S. Seventh), the ARC (1701 West Ash) or the Armory
Sports Center (701 E. Ash). A birth certificate or baptismal record is
required to participate in Punt, Pass and Kick.
