City offices closed on Independence Day

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - City offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4,
in observance of Independence Day.
	Residential refuse, recycling and yard waste collections for
Monday, July 2, and Tuesday, July 3, will be on regular schedule.
However, collections normally scheduled for Wednesday through Friday
will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week (Thursday through
Saturday). Questions concerning holiday refuse collection should be
directed to the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291.	
	City buses will not operate, the sanitary landfill will be
closed and parking meter regulations will not be enforced.
	Though administrative offices for the Police Department and Fire
Department will be closed on Independence Day, all other emergency
services will be available.
