Storm event 

COLUMBIA, MO (March 1, 2007) -- Columbia /Boone County Emergency
Management reports no significant weather-related events occurring in
Boone County over the evening and early morning hours. General reports
were received of some typical low-level flash flooding. No reports of
any significant damage, utility outages or serious flooding were
received. Public Safety and HAM radio operators were activated to
receive and relay storm “spotting” reports to local emergency
management and the National Weather Service Office. 

This is the perfect time to review severe weather plans and
preparation. Severe weather week is March 11-17. The statewide tornado
drill will be midday on March 13, the perfect time and opportunity to
exercise and practice your safety plans and procedures.
