Parks and Recreation planning four grand openings

COLUMBIA, MO (May 8, 2007) - Columbia Parks and Recreation invites the
public to attend four grand opening ceremonies celebrating the
completion of four parks projects. 

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be held at these sites on the following
dates: 

● Dedication of the Garth Nature Area, 2799 N. Garth, Saturday, May
12, 10 a.m. The Nature Area is now complete with trails and a new fenced
leash-free area.

● Dedication of the MKT Trail Providence/Stewart/Elm underpasses
(meet at Flat Branch Park then walk down the trail), Saturday, May 12,
2:30 p.m. The dedication will be held in conjunction with Bike, Walk and
Wheel kickoff event. 

● Rededication of the Antimi Sports Complex, followed by the
dedication of the Thomas H. Rapp Tennis Courts at Cosmo Park, Tuesday,
May 15. The Antimi ceremony will begin at 5:45 p.m. with the tennis
court ceremony starting at 6:15 p.m.
