Road closings 
COLUMBIA, MO (May 9, 2007) - The Columbia/Boone County Emergency
Operations Center, Joint Information Center, has been advised of the
following road closures by emergency services providers in Boone
County:

Smith Hatchery Road North of Coopers Landing

Coopers Landing

Route N south of Coopers Landing 

Providence Landing at the dead end of Old Plank Road 

Rocheport Gravel Road at Highway 40

11700 Block of Smith Hatchery Road South

With water levels forecast to rise through the weekend, additional road
closures are expected. 

Remember, as little as six inches of water can lift a vehicle off of
the road. Do not attempt to drive across a roadway covered with water;
you cannot tell how deep the water may be. Do not attempt to walk across
a road covered with water; the force of the water is deceptive and could
sweep you off your feet and carry you downstream.
