November Community Circle - 'From Fears to Friendships'

COLUMBIA, MO (November 28, 2007) - The Columbia Human Rights
Commission, in collaboration with the Muslim Speakers Bureau of
Columbia, will offer an interactive and informative program on Islam
presented by local Columbia Muslims. It will be held on Thursday, Nov.
29, 6 p.m. - 8:45 p.m., in the Columbia Public Library Friends Room.

The focus of this event is to create a better understanding among
Columbia citizens about Islam. Often fear is at the root of prejudice
and bigotry, but information and personal connections can help to
overcome such fear and provide the bridge from fears to friendships.

There will be an opportunity to listen and engage in honest respectful
dialogue, Muslims and non-Muslims together. The purpose is not to
convince, convert, debate or argue. All citizens are welcome, regardless
of personal perspective or life experience.
