Public hearing for Maguire Extension Project	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announces a public
hearing for the extension of Maguire Boulevard. The public hearing will
be held Monday, Dec. 3, during the regularly scheduled City Council
meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., in the Council Chambers, fourth floor
of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway. 
	The proposed project includes the extension of Maguire Boulevard
as the northern extension to Stadium Boulevard, instead of using Lemone
Industrial Boulevard.  In the proposed plan, Maguire Boulevard will
connect with New Haven Road via a portion of the existing Warren Drive,
which will greatly improve the functioning of the US 63 interchange. The
total project cost is estimated at $8.9 million; the city’s portion is
approximately $4-5 million.
