Boone County Scrap Tire Collection

COLUMBIA, MO (October 5, 2007) - The Mid Missouri Solid Waste
Management District, Region “H”, announces the Boone County scrap
tire collection to be held at the Boone County Fairgrounds, Gate 1, 5212
N. Oakland Gravel Road, on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Farms and households from Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper,
Howard, Moniteau and Osage counties may participate. No business tires
will be accepted! No preregistration is required.

Fees for Tire Collection:
$1 per car tire (16-inch or smaller) or $2 if on the rim
$5 per truck or tractor tire (over 16-inch) or $10 on the rim
There will be a charge on every tire. There is a 50 tire limit!
NO EARLY DROP-OFF! Early drop-offs will be prosecuted!

This project is funded in part by a grant from the Mid Missouri Solid
Waste Management District approved by the Department of Natural
Resources. Partners include Boone County Commission, Boone County Public
Works, Boone County Fair and Alternative Fuel Source Inc.
