City seeks public input on major roadway landscape enhancements at Nov.
1 workshop

	(COLUMBIA, MO) -- Citizens are invited to discuss plans for
identifying major roadway entryway sites into Columbia and landscape
enhancements that would provide a more pleasing visual welcome to the
city. The workshop will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, from 7-9 p.m. at the
Activity and Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 West Ash St.  
	Planning Design Studios, a consulting firm that has worked on
similar landscape entryway projects in other communities, will present
results of their initial work for the city of Columbia. Consultants and
workshop participants will then break into small groups to gather
individual ideas and suggestions for Columbia’s major entryway
enhancement plan. This includes identifying and prioritizing entryway
locations and exploring ideas for landscape features.
