Public meetings scheduled for Parks and Recreation projects

COLUMBIA, MO (April 1, 2008) - The Columbia Parks and Recreation
Department announces two interested party meetings concerning two
neighborhood parks. 

The first meeting will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at
the Columbia Visitors Center, 5614 S. St. Charles Road. The purpose will
be to discuss the design and development of a neighborhood park in the
Eastport neighborhood. The property is also referred to as Lake of the
Woods South. 

The second meeting will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at
the Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia. This meeting will offer
residents the chance to learn about the new neighborhood park in the
Grasslands subdivision. 

At both meetings, park planners will share preliminary drawings of the
parks and listen to public input.
