Public hearing for Columbia Regional Airport Essential Air Service
(EAS)

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announces a public hearing
for the Columbia Regional Airport Monday, April 21, during the regularly
scheduled City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway.
Public comments are encouraged regarding the proposals for Essential Air
Service for commercial air service at the Columbia Regional Airport.

Three airlines have submitted proposals to provide Essential Air
Service to the Columbia Regional Airport. City Council will review
proposals from Mesaba Airlines, Great Lakes Aviation and Hawaii Island
Air to take over air service currently provided by Mesa Airlines.
Council will then make a recommendation to the U.S. Department of
Transportation, who will make the final decision for the federally
subsidized program.

If you have any questions about the public hearing, please contact the
Public Works Department at (573) 874-7250.
