Public hearing for new city parking garage

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announces a public hearing
concerning the construction of a new city garage between Fifth & Sixth
streets, on the south side of Walnut. The hearing will be held Monday,
April 21, during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, which
begins at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, fourth floor of the Daniel
Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway. 

Walker Parking Consultants have prepared four design options for
council consideration. The cost for this project is estimated at $15
million, which would be funded by Special Obligation Revenue Improvement
Bonds. These bonds would be repaid through parking revenues.
