Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health presents the 2008
Spring Fitness Expo & Awards
						
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness &
Health’s (MCPFH) Spring Fitness Expo & Awards Program will be held
Tuesday, May 6, at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) from 5:30
- 8 p.m. The Expo & Awards Program is part of the Bike, Walk, and Wheel
Week activities and will include a health and fitness expo and the
Mayor’s Fitness and Health Awards Program. The expo is a cooperative
effort between the MCPFH and members of Columbia’s health and fitness
community and is free for all attendees. There will be free promotional
items, information and services provided by more than 20 vendors
throughout the expo.
	Attendees can receive free adult glaucoma screening, cholesterol
checks, body mass index/body fat analysis, pulmonary function test and
obstructive sleep apnea screening. Children ages 6 months to 6 years may
receive a screening for abnormal vision. There will be something on
physical fitness and health for everyone.
	At 7:30 p.m., Mayor Hindman will present his annual physical
fitness and health awards to members of the Columbia community for
achievements in weight loss, smoking cessation, fitness and mentoring.
