City to break ground on Columbia Police Department Regional Training
Facility, 10 a.m. Monday
COLUMBIA, MO (December 17, 2008) -
When: Monday, Dec. 22, 10 a.m.
Where: 5001 Meyer Industrial Boulevard
Directions: From Broadway and U.S. 63 go south on U.S. 63 past Williams
Pipeline. Turn right (west) on Old Miller’s Road, turn left (south) on
Ponderosa. The first right is Meyer Industrial Boulevard.
What: Mayor Pro Tem Chris Janku will preside over a ribbon cutting and
groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the new Columbia Police
Department Regional Training Facility.
Notes:Funds for the project were approved by the voters as part of the
2005 public safety ballot issue. Land for the facility was generously
donated by the Lemone family.
