Temporary closure of Boone Industrial Drive

(Columbia, MO) -- The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that on Wednesday, Feb. 20, beginning at 7 a.m. Emery Sapp and
Sons Inc. will relocate a water line along Highway 763. This work will
result in a temporary road closure of Boone Industrial Drive. 

A detour route will be set up utilizing Brown School Road, then south
on Interstate Drive, on Wednesday and Thursday. Plates will be placed
over the line on Wednesday night as a temporary cover to allow for
overnight traffic. 

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in
the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible. The
work should be completed and the road fully opened by the end of the day
Thursday, weather permitting. For questions concerning this project,
