Local youths participate in AAU track meet

COLUMBIA, MO (June 3, 2008) - On Saturday, May 31, 14 athletes from
Columbia’s Parks & Recreation’s Blue Thunder Track Club competed in
the Olathe Express Track Club AAU Track Invitational in Olathe, KS. Over
550 youth from Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri competed in this meet.

Top Performances from Columbia’s Blue Thunder Track Club were:

Midget Girls 100m Dash Mikayla Logan 2nd Place 13.62

Midget Girls 200m Dash Mikayla Logan 2nd Place 28.23

Primary Girls 800m Run Madison Peth 2nd Place 3:23.87
Midget Girls 800m Run Kayla Funkenbusch 3rd Place 3:00.76

Sub-Bantam Boys 1500m Run Graham Buresh 2nd Place 5:45.28
Bantam Boys 1500m Run Kai Collier 3rd Place 5:57.80
Midget Girls 1500m Run Kayla Funkenbusch 3rd Place 6:11.01
