Public invited to retirement reception for Boehm

COLUMBIA, MO (Date) - Retiring Police Chief Randy Boehm will be honored
during a public reception on Friday, June 27, from 2 - 4 p.m., in the
4th Floor City Council Chambers, Daniel Boone Building, at 701 E.

Boehm joined the Columbia Police Department in October 1976 and rose
through the ranks until he was named chief on April 3, 2000. He leaves

Health Care Systems.

City Manager Bill Watkins says, “Randy has been a dedicated public
servant and I wish him the best as he embarks on a new career.”

According to Watkins, the reception on Thursday “is an opportunity to
let Randy know how much we appreciate his 31 years of service to
Columbia.”
