New Slide Open at Oakland Family Aquatic Center

COLUMBIA, MO (June 27, 2008) - Columbia Parks and Recreation’s
Oakland Family Aquatic Center has a new feature for pool-goers. A new
double loop enclosed flume water slide is now open to the public. 

The 125-foot slide has been under construction for several weeks. Rainy
weather has delayed its opening. 

Cost of the slide was $180,000, which was funded by the park sales tax.
The Oakland Family Aquatic Center is located at 1900 Blue Ridge Road.
