Workshop opportunity for visual artists	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Area visual artists are invited to participate
in an upcoming “Business Edge” workshop. Topics to be covered
include career planning in the arts, arts marketing, bookkeeping,
artist-gallery contracts and copyright basics.
	The workshop will be held on Friday, March 14, 6-9 p.m., and
Saturday, March 15, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Orr Street Studios, 106
Orr Street. The workshop is being presented by Volunteer Lawyers and
Accountants for the Arts (VLAA), a statewide arts organization based in
St. Louis, in collaboration with Orr Street Studios and the city’s
Office of Cultural Affairs.
	Presenters include Columbia artists Wayne Leal and Susan Taylor
Glasgow; PS:Gallery co-owner Jennifer Perlow; Sue Greenberg, VLAA
executive director; St. Louis artist Susan Bostwick; and Armstrong
Teasdale attorney David Jennings.
	Participants are encouraged to preregister for the session for
the fee of $25 (includes dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday);
registration at the door is $45. A registration form is available at

	The Business Edge workshop is made possible, in part, by the
