Work on steam tunnel begins	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that Sircal Contracting Inc. began work on the University of
Missouri steam tunnel on Fifth Street today. This work will result in
temporary lane restrictions on Fifth Street, between Conley and Stewart.
Work should be completed, weather permitting, by May 10. Motorists and
pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone
and use an alternate route whenever possible.
