U.S. Cellular presents: Movies Around Missouri Stephens Lake Outdoor
Cinema Series 

COLUMBIA, MO (May 2, 2008) - Don’t miss the first movie in the
Stephens Lake Outdoor Cinema Series! The series will kick off on Friday,
May 9, with a showing of Bee Movie at Stephens Lake Park (Old Highway 63
and Broadway). The fee is $3 per person; children 6 and under are free.

Friday, May 9, 8:45 p.m.- Bee Movie (PG): Barry B. Benson, a bee who
has just graduated from college, is disillusioned at his lone career
choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life
is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship
blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey, and subsequently
decides to sue us.
Preshow entertainment will include Chris Hatfield, winner of Mid
Missouri Idol 2005.

Upcoming movies are: 
Friday, June 13, 9 p.m.- The Birds (PG-13) 
Friday, July 11, 9 p.m.- Some Like it Hot (PG-13)
Friday, Aug. 8, 8:45 p.m.- The Spiderwick Chronicles (PG)

The Outdoor Cinema Series was formerly located at Flat Branch Park, but
moves this year to Stephens Lake Park. The movies resemble a drive-in
without cars, yet offers better sound, soft grass and a beautiful venue.
Movie watchers should bring a blanket or low lawn chair. Preshow
entertainment before each movie starts at 8 p.m.

The Outdoor Cinema Series is sponsored by Columbia Parks and
Recreation, the Columbia Daily Tribune and the Columbia Convention &
Visitors Bureau.
