Jackson Street closed for water main repair

(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia Water and Light will repair a water
main line on Jackson Street, between Mikel Street and Madison Street, on
Wednesday, May 21. The work will require closing the street from 8 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. Motorists will be detoured around the
block. Customers will be individually notified of any temporary
disruptions in their water service while the work is being done.
After the water main repair is completed, the lines might need
to be flushed which could cause a slight discoloration in the water.
Customers who experience this problem should let the water run for a few
minutes until the discoloration has disappeared. The water will continue
to be safe to drink.
