Columbia Cooks 

COLUMBIA, MO (October 2, 2008) - Funded in part by the Missouri
Foundation for Health, the Columbia Cooks series demonstrates simple
techniques, sources of healthy foods and the use of locally produced
foods to supplement a healthy lifestyle. Tomorrow, three recipes will be
demonstrated by Sally Stegemann and Linda Cooperstock using special
kitchen equipment to help make the kitchen and food preparation
accessible to those with disabilities. The program is produced in
cooperation with Services for Independent Living.

While not open to the public, the cooking show will be taped before a
small-group live audience. Following the taping, participants will
practice the techniques at their own work stations. Media outlets are
invited to film and/or interview participants.
