Construction of Brown School Road to begin
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that Lehman Construction Company of California, Mo., will
begin construction the week of Oct. 27 on the Brown School Road Project
from Providence Road to Range Line Street. This project consists of
concrete street pavement, sidewalk and a new box culvert. Total cost is
approximately $1.3 million. This project was a 2005 ballot issue, which
was part of the 10-year extension of the quarter cent capital
improvement sales tax.
	Work should be completed and the road fully reopened by late
spring to summer 2009, weather permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are
urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use
an alternate route whenever possible.
